This is Hedi's 48 Knuckle which he bought for a ridiculously low price over a decade ago. The bike was in a box and when he assembled the parts it basically ran like a dream. He can be seen riding the hell out of the bike pretty much every non-rainy day in the Basque country. Some people are just born lucky.

I keep seeing this 55 Cadillac in the Hossegor area and never got the chance to talk to the owner. It's got some miles on it and gets used in any weather conditions. Love the way it looks.

I dug up some pictures of what must have been my most memorable skate session ever. Hessu and I were visiting ASR in San Diego and decide to drive to Salton Sea cause we heard of this pool, but had no idea where it was. Needless to say our Neverlost didn't help either. Al we knew was that the pool was on the North shore and our friend Brecht had sent us a google earth shot of the place. We started driving for hours in the baking sun, stopped at some casino in the middle of nowhere, had a burger, won some coins at the slot machine, drove more, got lost, drove more... We eventually found it thanks to what I call our skater's nose. You know, when you feel the spot is in the close. Anyway, it was so hot and there was absolutely no shade but we got to skate by ourselves and the pool was clean. No brooms needed. Then after a while, we realized there was another pool across the street. A square one with so much vert and a tiny trannie. I can honestly saywe sucked ! But had so much fun carving both pools.
We left and drove straight to LAX cause Hessu had to catch a flight that night. I drove back down to Laguna Beach. We must have spent 9 hours in the car (if not more) but it was well worth it. Now the pool is gone.

Hessu, Christian and myself have been taking skate-lunch breaks at our local skatepark lately and I keep noticing that skateboarding with my friends makes me smile. Always !!!
I came to realize that besides spending time with my wife and kids, there is nothing that makes me smile like being on my board. It's amazing that whatever the age, you still learn ( or re-learn ) tricks.

Went to the the BLITZKRIEG MACHINES headquarters ( Christian's barn) today, fixed my back tyre, finally put those mufflers on and checked some of the electricity and most importantly drank some DUVEL. I 'm stoked the way these mufflers turned out and the bike is still loud as hell. I would even say it sounds better than before. Those mounting plates are vintage parts sent by Meatball at HELL ON WHEELS. I think I'm pretty close to how I wanted the bike to look like.

Mid January and 20 degrees celcius ! Took the TROPHY for a ride today, checked out the waves. Too big ! Blew my back tyre in a turn 5 miles from home. Close call ! No phone and had to ride back in 2nd gear. Luckily I didn't fuck up the rubber...
My son Felix is crazy about the TROPHY and got on his bike too.
Christian came by, we took the bike to the barn to fix it, and I finally saw his killer XS 650 ! Talked bikes for a while with a beer !

We were desperate to skate on sunday , so we drove 2.30 hours to Bilbao to find rained out parks in Algorta and Sondika !
Luckily we brought a towel, a broom and a good dose of motivation. We ended up getting good sessions at both parks. Couple beers on the way back and ready for another week of work.

I spent Xmas over at my mom's and found stack of old pictures. Came across this one. We used to skate this spot with our crew every day. It was shit, didn't slide, had a rough ground but it was ours and chicks were hanging out there too. I guess that made us skate there even more...
