After 2 months on a boat, it has finally arrived. Had to drive 7 hours to go get it but it was well worth the drive.
I got home late at night and had to wait the next morning to start it up. A few kicks and the engine started without a problem. I drove straight off to work with it. I had a smile for the rest of the day. It runs smooth and makes the sweetest noize. I guess my wife will see a little less of now.
After visiting Moore's I drove up to LA to check out Garage Company and look for some parts. I got lost like a first time tourist, it pissed me off but that feeling disappeared when I got there. Sick place, cool owner and I found a N.O.S. white Pillion seat for my TR5 which will match my white solo seat . So stoked !
I'll go back there with a bigger budget next time...
I had half a day off from work and took the time to go visit Moore's cycle center today. What a spot, and Keith Moore is the coolest guy ever. He really took his time to show me around the shop and chat about the beauties he had in the back of the shop.
I was driving through the Spanish Basque country, in the Pyrenees mountain range and found this little shop by accident. It was closed at the time but I'll have to go back to check it out. Never know what they have in the back...
Found this amazing place the other day. It's mindblowing. Biggest mess I have ever seen, but some intresting stuff amongst the pile of parts. We managed to find a cool gas tank for my friend Axel's project and a couple good mags from the 50's. They got plenty more but I'll have to go back to dig deeper.
As I said before, I will post some of my favourite cassettes once in a while. I love these tapes ! My best music is on 'em, and I have boxes full. Somehow I managed to keep 'em all intact with tracklist and all. When I grew up skating in Brussels we had a tight punk scene and we'd constantly exchange tapes or make comps to trade with friends. This one was given to me by my friend Thomas and named after my love for brewed beverages. It is a great mix of what we'd listen to back then (and still do). Punk as fuck!
